In 2009 Keith Getty & I sat in Costas, Glasgow chatting about our hopes and dreams for our ministries...
I felt New Scottish Arts needed a home. Somewhere to store things, to work, to meet, to rehearse, to perform...
The catch? I was praying for a building that could provide all this for just £1 a year. No chance!?
However, God is faithful. We have a wonderful building where we can store, work, meet, rehearse and perform!
In addition, we secured major funding to transform the building for this use.
It has been a long 4 years, but The Station Arts Centre was finished in October 2013. It is a wonderful space in an amazing location directly opposite where the new V & A Museum will be. The Board will meet soon to discuss the best use of the buidling and we plan to have an open day for local organisations and people to visit the space and together we can explore how we can impact the local community. Watch this space.
Our annual rent? £1 a year.
